Jay here, founder of the Shotspresso Project, it's been almost a year since any contact has been made with you all but i owe you supporters something special. I would not have continued this project without all of you. I'll admit it, it's been a rocky road till now but things are coming to a positive end soon.
Starting this project out, i really believed in the product concept (a pure coffee shot with high caffeine that you can bring anywhere you go, consume whenever you want) and i still still do believe in it. I've been studying alot on product retail design and have since changed the product's design a total of 6-Times! But this has come to an end.
The final design is here and the first 2,000 units for shipment is on the way. This might take another month, but it's coming for sure. And due to the mass delay, i'm offering all local backers Free Shipping since it won't be feasible to continue to ship to backers overseas (unfortunately, and a refund will be given ofcourse, i did not start out this project to "scam" anyone). To be honest, this is my first time starting a beverage startup and i've been going about things as they go and learning alot on the way. The dream ofcourse is to expand the brand one day where alot of my USA and Global backers can try Shotspresso. (We're by far the cleanest - no caffeine powder added & also the strongest coffee shot on the market as of today - 4mg Caffeine per mL).
Currently, there will only be 2 flavours 'Pure Black' & 'Sweetened Black', both options will have 0 Sugar and 3 Calories per Shot and 200mg of Caffeine (Qqv. 3x Espressos). P.s. 8-Month Shelf Life has been lab-tested and certified successfully.

Dear Kickstarter Backers,
There have been lots of work over the past few months and many updates to kick off in this section from the Shotspresso Team.
First and foremost, we’re sadly calling a 3-month delivery delay up to March/April in 2020. After final consultations with our lawyers, it turns out that the amount of addition of caffeine (even 30mg in powdered form) from coffee beans were not legal in Australia. Because of this, we had shifted suppliers to Brew Projects. With the focus on just using coffee beans in a cold-press process, it will be regarded as more 'natural' and higher of quality. The taste of the coffee shot is also sweeter and sharper! We’re now working through the samples as seen below:
Due to the new formulation of the coffee which will now only consist of coffee beans and quality pure water. Shotspresso’s new drink taste fantastic, but to make sure it’s safe for our customers to drink, we’re undergoing another shelf-life test. This time, we’re aiming for an 8-month shelf life. The shelf life testing will be conducted by SGS which is an international food testing lab. The accelerated shelf life testing will complete on the 27th of January which is the main reason that will push the project past it’s due delivery date, we apologize for this delay and will compensate by adding an extra 5% in all our backer’s packages. We will not stand for delivering an untested product to our customers for their health and safety, even if it means that we may have to delay the project delivery:
Additionally, we’re also working on new designs of the Shotspresso bottles so that they can hit the retail shelves of the USA & AU markets next year (do pass us a message if you wish to be one of the first stores to stock Shotspresso!) Please have a look at the new packaging for the bottles (in draft) below, please note that it will still be of transparent background and gold lettering.
Other Notes:
- The 200mg caffeine option will no longer be available due to regulatory laws on added caffeine but we will add an extra 5% of Shotspresso amount to your order to make up for this as well as for the delayed delivery as mentioned above.
- We will not be shipping to the following countries (on the right) due to difficult logistical issues, we’re going to offer 100% refunds to all backers on the 17th November 2019. These backers will also receive a $10 online voucher on our website when we officially launch into retail and online. (We're also open to partnership for distributions to any other countries if it is viable through discussion, do not hesitate to contact our friendly team!)
Please feel free to message and ask us any questions, we're happy to answer any query, even if you have to vent your frustration... We sincerely offer our apologies and hope this does not cause too much inconvenience to our valued Kickstarter Backers!

Thank you all so much for the overwhelming support for the project. We're so proud to be able to soon (when we reach our goal) to begin securing everyone's flavors and begin shipping out our delicious Shotspresso's to you! Then you can show off to your friends, whether you're at work grinding or running at the park, just pull out Shotspresso and take a shot, everyone will want one! 😄
Now, on to the main event, we've got responses from many of our backers as well as social media followers of the project that Plastic will not be great for the environment given the single-use factor of Shotspresso. So guess what? We listened!
We've been discussing with our manufacturer for these elegant bottles and we've all agreed as a group to switch to Glass. Now Shotspresso will be more recyclable than ever. ♻️
